It's All in the Name

How cute are these personalized name hangers?  I saw them in a wedding video a friend shared with me (thanks Em!) and just had to find them!  After a little research, I found some on Etsy.

This hanger would be great for a bridesmaid to give a bride on her big day!

These would be great to give the happy couple at a wedding shower.

If you want to attempt to make the hangers yourself, check out this post on Wedding Bee.  These would make cute gifts for bridesmaids!

A Royal Wedding - The Menu

Former royal chef Darren McGrady has started to make some predictions about the wedding day feast for Prince William and his soon to be Princess, Kate Middleton.  He is predicting a mix of traditional English fare and both William & Kate's favorites.  Whatever the menu winds up including, it's sure to be elegant and lovely!

Menu from Queen Elizabeth & Prince Phillips Wedding

For William and Kate, the menu predictions include:
  • A very simple affair unlike Charles & Di's wedding
  • A wedding breakfast offering champagne, canapés and heavy h'ors d'oeuvres after the 11a.m. wedding ceremony
  • A substantial dinner buffet at the evening reception with close family and friends, most likely consisting of British and Gaelic food
If only we could get an invite to check out the delectable spread!

2011's Color of the Year: Honeysuckle Pink

According to Pantone, the color of the year for 2011 is Honeysuckle Pink.  It's 'Courageous. Confident. Vital.' and all in all I think it's a perfect color for weddings in any season!

This bright reddish pink would be a great accent for a wedding palette.  It would pair nicely with pretty much any color, for any season!  See some color combinations below.

For a Spring or Summer wedding, try pairing Honeysuckle Pink and Yellow:

The red in the bouquet makes for a great accent color!

For a Fall or Winter wedding, pair Honeysuckle Pink with Brown:
You can add in light pinks with the Honeysuckle as accents.

For any season, pair it with Green:

Use a more muted green for Fall/Winter or a brighter, lighter green for Summer/Spring.

The most important thing is to have fun with color and use a palette that makes you happy for your wedding day!
