A Little Something ~ #52

Apparently I'm all about the mismatch lately (check out last Monday's post).

Today's {A Little Something} is a Marie Antoinette style cake.  Each layer is a different color or pattern but it still all goes together perfectly.

Love it!

A Little Something ~ #47

With all this cold, rainy weather I needed a little pick me up.  And this cake did the trick.  I just love all of the bright colors and the fun, playful chevron pattern.

It's perfect for a Spring / Summer wedding!

A Little Something ~ #43

Looking for a way to jazz up your wedding cake?  Today's {A Little Something} does just that.

Victoria Made created this vintage wedding cake design completing the look with a birdcage over top.  I think it's the perfect way to add a little something (as this series is called..) to your wedding cake.

A Little Something ~ #41

Right now I am loving the color combination of gray and yellow.  I love how the yellow pops against the neutral gray.
And today's {A Little Something} falls into this color scheme.

Don't you just love the different patterns & textures? Such a fun cake for a wedding!

[Trend Alert] - Cake Pop Cakes

When it comes to weddings, there are constantly new trends coming about (i.e. mason jars, 'vintage', birdcage veils, etc.)  Well, one of the latest trends I've been seeing all over is a cake pop cake.

I just can't decide if I love this trend... It could be fun to simply hand out the cake pops rather than cut up a cake and certainly makes clean up much easier.  But I think I love a traditional wedding cake too much to not have one.  Maybe this would work for the groom's cake?

What do you guys think?

A Little Something ~ #18

Let them eat cake!

After looking through a post about cupcake on Calligraphy by Jennifer, I just had to check out Cotton and Crumbs - a bakery in the UK.

All of their cakes are gorgeous and so today's {A Little Something} is more like a few little somethings, because I was having issues picking just one!

Love the black pearls and matching cupcakes!

Peonies and lace - beautiful!  And how amazing is that cake stand??

So perfectly vintage with lace and pearls.

To see more of their cake designs check out Cotton and Crumbs' website.

Happy Monday!

A Little Something ~ #5

Today's {A Little Something} feature comes from a vintage inspiration board I created a while back.

I fell in love with these cake stands.  I think they're so pretty and add a great touch to a dessert table!

Taste Test

What does your wedding cake flavor say about you?

I thought this was too cute not to share!  I'd be Sophisticated & Romantic (for that wedding cake I'll have some day...). What about you?

Le Gâteau Parfait

Macarons are quite possibly my favorite cookie.  If you haven't had one, then you are seriously missing out.  Macarons are little French cookies that are perfectly light, smooth, and delicious.

So, when I stumbled across this cake tonight, I naturally fell in love.  A cake made out of macarons?!  Why didn't I think of that?

Now if only I could get Ladurée to deliver...
